Rain is seen as a cleanser of the world, with every drop of the fresh water streaming away the Earth's dirt and the stormy atmosphere clearing the mind of humanity for self- reflection. She mentions words that were spoken to her from a dying old woman that saw rain this way and hoped for rain in Heaven. She then calls the reader to be opptomistic, to remember this woman's dying wish, and to welcome the gifts rain brings to the world.
